Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
選ばなかった道　
黄色に染まる森で　道が二つに分かれていた
残念だが　二つの道を行くことはできない……(省略)一方の道を　目を凝らして見た
道がその先で折れて….(省略)
それで　もうひとつの方の道を選ぶことにした
…..(省略)
あの朝　どちらの道も同じようにそこにあり　草に埋もれ　まだ踏み固められていなかった
もう一方の道は　また次の機会にしておこう！

決して戻って来ることはないだろうとも思った
ため息まじりに　きっと僕は語るだろう
いつのころだったか　遠い昔に

人が選ばない方の道を選んだ
